Streets DARE advertisement
This is my advertisement for 'Streets Dare' a brand I came up with. The main image is of the trainer in side a broken crate. This is used to signify a wild animal breaking out of storage, this makes the product seem dangerous and different. This would suggest an audience who likes expressing themselves as an individual. The background that the crate is in is a warehouse, this would suggest a remote area deep underground, possibly away from the civilisation above. The grainy after effect gives it a rough or rugged feeling around it, maybe like the people who would be interested in purchasing the shoes. The tag line 'Dare to be Different' is a persuading people to be themselves and not follow the crowd. My logo looks more intricate and sophisticated so this would possibly suggest a more refined person instead of just a trend-setter. 'Dare' is the name of the sub-brand and does what the tag-line says it tells you to take a chance with something out of the ordinary. Black is used but the tag-line is in bright red to draw your eyes to it. There is also a slight spotlight over the top of the product highlighting the product of interest.

Eye Level Shot
This is another example from 'Alice in Wonderland' this is an eye level shot. The rest of this scene is bizarre and contorted yet using this shot helps to give it that well needed jump back to reality it so desperately needs.
Over the Shoulder shot
This is from 'Pulp Fiction' and is an Over the Shoulder shot. This makes you feel that your listening to the conversation possibly like a waiter or another customer. It feels intrusive as your not sat at the table with the couple, its like we're eavesdropping as an audience.
Low Angle shot
This is from 'Transformers' and is a Low Angle shot. This makes the robot look even more threatening and overpowering, it heightens the fact that it is towering over people it looks very dominant and overpowered.
High Angle shot
This is from the film 'Matilda' and is a High Angle shot. This shows Matilda is weak and scared and is used to make her look even smaller than what she is.
Canted Angle
Tilt Shot
Arc Shot
Crane Shot
This is from the series 'The Walking Dead' and is a Crane shot. The shot is used to show the mass of the zombies clambering on top of the tank that Rick is inside of. It is shot at this angle as it shows the full horror from the vertical angle, as they look like ants crawling and writhing all over each other. This gives you as an audience a sense of hopelessness for Rick as there literally seems as if there is no possible way of getting out of this situation alive. You feel empathy for him.

Mise en Scene
Setting and Location- The Location seems to be in a charred forest set around a tea table. This suggests that something must have happened to make this forest the way it is, this also suggests that the characters the Mad Hatter and the March Hare are mentally disturbed or their mind have been 'blackened' hence them partying in such an awful setting.
Decor- The decoration is of the set is very juxtaposed as the world around them is charred and burnt yet the tea table is clean and not dirty. There is a lot of china pottery on the table and what looks like antiques, this may suggest that the Mad Hatter had a lot of money at some point and he bought these, and that these may be the only things they have left. The fact that this Decor is very juxtaposed against its harsh surroundings suggests the 'Fantasy' genre as it would be highly unlikely that the table would remain in such pristine condition, and it is also in an abandoned forest, people wouldn't normally have a tea party in the middle of a charred and burnt abandoned forest.
Body Language and Movement- The Mad Hatter immediately gets up and walks along a full table, this is done without hesitation which might show the mental stability of this character as he sees this decision as logical. The March Hare pulls his ears and his eyes are twitching this yet again, shows that the character is mad and he sees what he is doing as perfectly natural. Alice at this point is very small, she is grabbed by her hand and hoisted up in the air, this makes her look small and feeble and not strong enough to escape from the Mad Hatters grip.
Props/Objects- The main prop that is of importance her is an eye that the Dormouse has attached to her side, this is because she plucked it from the 'Bandersnatch'. This is an important part of the narrative. The fact that a tiny dormouse has an eye of ahuge beast shows that she is a courageous and strong creature despite her tiny stature.
Costume/Makeup- The Costume and makeup is very specific for this scene as it is very crazy, very much like the two characters themselves, Alice's is all loose and messy this shows what the character is feeling, very confused and lost. The clothes are quite Victorian Gothic a specific theme for Tim Burton's films.
Zoom
This is an example of the zoom camera movement from the movie 'Jaws'. This is normally used to focus into a character in this case it shows the fear on his face. This foreshadows the future events. He sees the people playing in the sea and he looks like he senses that something isn't right. The movement at the end suggests that he's going to get up to do something. The fact that he is getting massaged seems to make him look at ease.

Medium shot
This picture is from the TV show 'The Inbetweeners' and is an example of a Medium shot. In this scene the car door is ripped off outside the theme park and Neil gets a wasp in his suit and has to use the lost and found clothes. This shows the friendship between the four 'Loser' characters. It reveals the confidence of each of the characters by the fact that we can see their facial expressions as well as body langauge. It also established the location they are in by the rollercoaster behind them.
Extreme Long Shot
This is a picture from the Television Series 'The Walking Dead'. This is an example of an Extreme Long Shot. The buildings are all blackened and falling apart which suggests something terrible happenign to them. The fact that there is Rick on his own on the other side of a freeway that is filled with abandoned vehicle, suggests that he is completely alone in this forsaken and barren world. This is what these camera angles are meant to do, show an extremely overwhelming landscape. The sky is grey scale which makes it a bleak atmosphere this added to the emptiness of Atlanta (normally a bustling city) is a very spinechilling idea.
Medium Shot
This picture is from the TV show Sherlock, and shows an example of a Medium Shot. These shots are usually used to show the relationship between two characters. In this case this is Sherlock Holmes with his companion Watson. This shows that Sherlock is the more focused logical character and that Watson is the more Laid back and sociable character which makes them a well rounded team. The background tells us were the series is set and the dark clouds in the sky foreshadow that somehting is wrong or something is going to happen.
Close Up
This picture is an example of a closeup from the movie Les Miserables, This is used to show the emotion on Anne Hathaway's face, after what her character has been through. The candelight behind her suggests a holiness or a purity which is very juxtoposed as she has becamea prostitute at this point and is far from pure and clean.
Extreme Close up
This is an example of an extreme closeup from Harry Potter. This focuses on his glasses with Dumbledore's reflection this suggests foreshadowing something possibly. This also makes a symbol of his scar, suggesting that something is going to happen about Voldemort.
